Bahrain Technology Companies Society (BTECH) announced that it has entered into a strategic partnership with The Information and Communications Technology Association of Jordan (Int@j), intending to develop the ICT industry in both Bahrain and Jordan by launching several initiatives and projects.
The Chairman of the Bahrain Technology Companies Society (BTECH) Mr. Ubaydli Ubaydli, stated on this occasion that this partnership comes at a time when the ICT sector has proven its importance in various areas of life, including the sectors of health, education, entertainment and payment, and remote work among others.
“In light of the convergence in work and culture between Bahrain and Jordan, We now have a sustainable channel to benefit from the advanced Jordanian experience in the technical field in a way that facilitates the transfer, indigenization, and development of experiences. In return, the” BTECH ” will continuously update the Jordanian side on developments in the technology industry in Bahrain, including advanced legislation, robust infrastructure, in addition to organizing specific technical events.” Mr. Ubaydli said.
Mr. Ubaydli affirmed that “BTECH” seeks through this cooperation to achieve common goals between the two sides in highlighting innovative trends, services, and products for ICT companies and enhancing the capacity of private sector institutions in the technical field to develop their productivity, competitiveness, and their ability to provide quality job opportunities and increase their contribution in GDP.
“This partnership comes within the direction of ” BTECH ” to promote the position of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the ICT markets in the GCC and the world, and to develop this major industry in Bahrain to contribute to boosting the efficiency of the performance of the national economy.” Mr. Ubaydli added.
For his part, Dr. Bashar Hawamdeh, Chairman of The Information and Communications Technology Association of Jordan (Int@j), said that the collaboration between the two sides aims to develop programs that intend to promote the ICT sector and support initiatives aimed at serving the private sector institutions and meeting business needs to improve and develop the ICT sector following national strategies and plans in both countries.
” BTECH and “Int@j” will work through this partnership to support Jordan and Bahrain’s efforts to enhance the technical sector, overcome difficulties, motivate society and its various institutions to adopt and develop technical options, in addition to meeting the needs of economic, social and educational development and encourage investment in these areas.” Dr. Hawamdeh said.
Dr. Hawamdeh concluded that “Int@j”, which was founded in Jordan in 2000, is working to increase the networking between the ICT sector and other sectors, indicating that ICT is the driving force for all other sectors, especially in light of the current global technological development.
