Mobile communications operator Tele2 plans to commence mobile network modernization work this year. The company plans to invest about EUR 10 million in this project, the company reports.
Network modernization will employ solutions developed by Nokia. These solutions will help ensure excellent data transfer and voice call quality within 4G and 5G networks.
«To improve 2G, 3G and 4G networks, it is planned to increase capacity for approximately 200 stations and 40 new ones will be built. A joint modernization project with Nokia will be started to help improve operations,» says Tele2 board chairman Valdis Vancovičs.
Modernized network will help support and improve 4G and 5G. As a result, both individual clients and companies will have access to higher mobile internet speed and less latency when using mobile internet, the company notes.
