The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the plan of events for implementation of the mobile communication of fourth-generation (4G) all over the country in 2020. The proper decision was made at the governmental session.
The government offers to allocate 790-862 MHz and 694-790 MHz ranges for the development of LTE networks. These ranges are assigned to analog television.
As of November 9, 20,506 cities and villages in Ukraine are covered with 4G networks. Until the end of the year, the 4G communication will be available for the citizens of Cherkasy, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
As reported, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the plan of preparation for the introduction of the mobile communication of fifth-generation (5G). The document states that in October 2021, the competition for issuance of licenses for use of 5G system in Ukraine. The winners of the competition will be determined in December 2021.
