Agreement between Nepal Telecom and PABSON to provide alternative education

The ongoing pandemic has caused schools, colleges, and universities to close. Meanwhile, amidst these turbulences, online classes are being conducted to keep up with the studies and academic session of the aspiring students. Keeping this in mind, Nepal Telecom and Private and Boarding Schools’ Organisation Nepal (PABSON) have successfully signed an agreement. With the agreement, Nepal Telecom will provide internet service via data packages at an affordable price to the students and the teachers.

The agreement successfully completed on the day of Bhadra 15. According to it, the school level students can easily make use of the “Happy Learning Pack” at a very low price. It was signed by the Chief Commercial Officer Bhanuraj Shrestha of Nepal Telecom and vice-chairman of PABSON, as well as the organizer of E-learning, Deepika Thapa Rimal.

There was a similar agreement between the Ntc and University Grant Commission to ease online learning. Now, this agreement between PABSON and Ntc is to ease the eLearning offer for the teachers, students, and researchers of:

  • Universities around the nation
  • Affiliated Institution/Colleges
  • and Community Colleges

To use the Ntc learning pack, students, teachers need to contact their institution. Then the institution has to send an email to Nepal Telecom to enable the Happy Learning offer subscription.

Along with this, Nepal Telecom says the students can also visit its website and fill out the Student KYC form to enjoy the “Happy Learning Pack”. With this, customers can subscribe to the learning pack without the help of their schools.
