Etihad Etisalat Company "Mobily" intends to launch new reduced packages for distance learning soon; the packages will be available for data on mobile phones and fiber optics service. The move is designed to facilitate distance learning for students and teachers as well as support them, in light of the precautionary measures adopted to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus.
Mobily affirmed its commitment to a smooth educational experience, and its ongoing efforts to stay abreast of developments, as well as answering inquiries to support students across the Kingdom, to help push forward their educational journey.
Mobily has doubled its network technical teams’ monitoring capabilities on a permanent basis to ensure high quality of service and smooth communications and data flow.
The new package, the unlimited education package, offers unlimited browsing on the #Madrasati platform, in coordination with the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, and the Communications and Information Technology Commission. The package will be available for a 3-month subscription period for both postpaid and prepaid lines. A one-month 50% discount on fiber service will also be offered to students and teachers.
At the onset of Covid-19, Mobily had extended zero-rating (i.e. free browsing) to a number of service applications for government entities, including Ain education portal and the unified education portal, as part of the company’s CSR.
