Banglalink achieved Ookla® Speedtest® Award and was rated as the fastest mobile network in the country in second quarter (Q2) of 2020.
The award was given based on user-initiated results generated from Ookla’s Speedtest app, said a press release.
Banglalink’s Speed Score was 15.09 in the period, it said.
With millions of results obtained through Speedtest app each day, Ookla has the most accurate and comprehensive view of worldwide network performance, quality and accessibility, the media release said.
It also said that the Banglalink procured the highest amount of spectrum in 2018 from BTRC to stay competitive in the market, and now the initiative is paying off with the high-quality user experience in data services.
