Spanish telecommunications services provider Eurona has announced that the villages of Guzman and Santo Domingo de Silos in the Burgos province (Castilla-Leon) will be connected to its satellite broadband service to expand their potential as tourist destinations this summer.
Guzman earned the connection after being declared winner of the Eurona’s ‘InternetDePelícula’ short film competition, with the company also connecting finalist Santo Domingo de Silos, the location of several scenes of the classic western "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly".
In 2018, Eurona teamed up with Hispasat in an initiative to bring satellite-based broadband 300,000 homes in 2,500 digital divide localities throughout Spain, and the company has connected some 60,000 residents in Castilla-Leon who previously lacked coverage.
