Orange Jordan announced that 3100 candidates are competing for a place in the second batch of the Orange Coding Academy, after having received 7000 applications. The candidates will receive several online training courses that qualifies them to be among 3000 finalists.
The company announced earlier that registration was open from 1-26, April, and informed the applicants qualifying for the second phase in mid-May.
The registration process was carried out online to ensure adherence to the government's protective measures against the spread of COVID-19, said the company, noting that the importance of the Academy's program and its continuity despite challenges.
Orange Coding Academy continues to provide the labor market, in Jordan and the region, with trained and highly qualified youth mastering the most required coding languages, such as Python, JavaScript, by adopting digital alternatives.
The first batch of the Academy witnessed great success, as 70% of the students received job offers even before finishing their internship, proving efficiency in preparing programmers with required skills, in accordance with international standards.
The company launched the Coding Academy, in cooperation with Simplon.co, in 2015 to embody the "training for employment" concept by offering 6 months of free intensive courses in programming languages, web, mobile and phone development, and soft skills, in addition to a 1-month internship, to cater to the needs of the job market, support Jordanian talents and develop this vital sector.
