The emergency line specialized for people with disabilities, offered by Orange Jordan and in cooperation with the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, has received more than 6000 calls via Sign Book solution, since its launch, in response to the precautionary measures imposed by the Government to combat Coronavirus.

Communication is now a priority for all Jordanians due to the undertaken measures to combat the spread of the novel coronavirus. The interpreter receives the call and then transfers the request to the coronavirus hotline 111, powered by Al-Tibbi Company, in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, to seek necessary medical advice and information from doctors.

Using the same number, calls from people with disabilities in the Kingdom are also received. Their calls are transferred to the specialized authorities to provide them with the needed support effectively and promptly, especially in the current circumstances which requires all Jordanians to stay home, in accordance with the precautionary measures aimed to ensure their safety.

Orange Jordan affirmed its keenness to find a reliable and easy communication channel, which sheds light on the requirements of people with disabilities, harnessing its technical resources for digital inclusion and keeping all Jordanians connected in the current situation.
