Fiji’s two major telecommunications service providers – Digicel and Vodafone Fiji have offered their customers free talk-time and SMS in what it says is part of their COVID-19 relief package.
According to an SMS sent to its customers, Digicel stated it had gifted all its customers $50 free credit yesterday for Digicel to Digicel calls and SMS, and is valid for 30 days.
All Vodafone and Inkk Mobile customers can also access the Vodafone COVID-19 relief package free of charge from March 23.
According to a statement by Vodafone, the bundle includes 2GB data, 200 minutes of free calls and 1000 free text messages.
Vodafone users can subscribe once a month for the next three months.
