German railway company Deutsche Bahn (DB) has opened up its fibre-optic network for use by the country’s telecoms operators.
DB’s fibre infrastructure stretches 18,500km alongside its nationwide rail network. DB broadband, a wholly owned subsidiary of DB Netz, has been established to operate the new business.
