A1 resumes 4G services in Pinsk

A1 Belarus (formerly VELCOM), a wholly owned subsidiary of A1 Telekom Austria Group, has announced that it has relaunched its 4G services in Pinsk, adding that as part of the reboot it has more than doubled capacity on the LTE network by using the infrastructure of the country’s common infrastructure provider Belarusian Cloud Technologies (beCloud).

The cellco relaunched its fourth-generation services in the city, which lies in the Brest Region of Belarus, on 24 October 2019, having previously suspended services in May due to the poor quality of services there.

“We are now confident that high-quality 4G data services are available for A1 subscribers in Pinsk and in order for residents to be able to evaluate its advantages, the company is giving all subscribers of our Comfort and Lemon tariff plans in Pinsk up to 20GB of internet data, as well as preferential deals to switch to current A1 tariff plans, including the option to purchase the popular A1 Alpha 4G smartphone,’ said Irina Savina, Deputy General Director for A1 Consumer Segment.
