Kew Media, Participant confirm new distribution partnership

Global distributor Kew Media (KMD) has signed a multi-year distribution agreement with LA-based media company Participant giving it global TV and digital rights to limited new projects across documentary and narrative feature films.

Founded in 2004 by Jeff Skoll, Participant is said to dedicated to entertainment that inspires audiences to engage in positive social change. The company was behind Academy Award-winning films such as Spotlight, Green Book and Roma, and has expanded into a multi-platform company that produces impact campaigns alongside its content designed to accelerate the reach and impact of solutions to the world’s most pressing issues.

Participant Titles listed in the Kew deal include Oscar-nominated documentary Food, Inc.; Emmy Award nominee Pressure Cooker; Sundance Award winners 3½ Minutes, 12 Bullets and Circumstance; SXSW Festival winner The Great Invisible; and The World According to Sesame Street.
