Batelco, in line with its continuous efforts to support and empower the Kingdom’s youth is delighted to announce its renewed support of the Ministry of Youth & Sport Affairs’ (MYS) Youth City 2030, which took place at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre Under the Patronage of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) and Captain of the Royal Endurance Team.
Batelco sponsored this year's Youth City 2030 as the exclusive telecommunications provider, where the Company provided internet for the duration of the event, as well as participated in a number of initiatives and activities taking place in the City. A workshop was also held to spread awareness to attendees on 5G technology and its benefits in terms of speed and efficiency, in addition to highlighting its practical applications across all fields.
Additionally, Batelco’s CSR team ‘Nasna’ participated in the ‘SMO’ programme which was held under the umbrella of Youth City 2030, where ‘Nasna’ volunteer, Senior Product Marketing Manager Nasreen Buhammood, delivered a workshop to People of Determination on digital applications such as bwallet and mobile shopping apps, to help them to conduct their daily transactions with ease and flexibility.
Continually striving to be involved in a wide range of educational programmes as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, Batelco’s keenness to participate in events related to the development of youth highlights the Company’s dedication to developing future leaders to become active and impactful members of society.
