Slovak mobile operators have expanded the coverage of their LTE networks, Zive.aktuality.sk reported. Orange Slovakia currently covers 94.9 percent of the country‘s population, compared to 90.5 percent the year before. O2 Slovakia now covers over 97 percent, up by almost 3 percentage points year-on-year. The LTE coverage of Slovak Telekom now totals 94.3 percent, up by 0.5 percentage points. 4ka covers 70 percent; the operator plans to reach 75 percent by year-end.
LTE services from O2 have become available in 24 new villages over the past two months. Orange started services in 38 new villages and Slovak Telekom in ten new villages.
4ka said it expanded the coverage of its LTE network in Bratislava, Poprad, Presov and Banska Stiavnitsa this summer.
