PCCW Media is pleased to announce it has secured the exclusive rights in Hong Kong for CONMEBOL Copa América Brasil 2019, and that Now TV and Now E will live broadcast all 26 matches of the tournament exclusively. Customers may also replay their favorite matches using the Video-on-Demand service.
CONMEBOL Copa América is one of the most prestigious football events in the world. The championship will be hosted by Brazil this year with 12 national teams competing for the title between June 15 and July 8, 2019 (Hong Kong time).
Among the participating countries are world football superpowers like Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Columbia and Chile, expecting to feature some of the world’s top players including Lionel Messi, Neymar Jr., James Rodriguez, Alexis Sanchez and Sergio Agüero. Top teams from Asian Football Confederation are also invited to participate, namely Qatar, Asian Cup winner in 2019, and Japan, the second highest ranked Asian team, featuring core players like Gaku Shibasaki and Shinji Okazaki to battle for Japan.
