VIVA launches donations campaign

In partnership with TAM “تم” program, VIVA Bahrain, and as part of its ongoing efforts to give back to the community and make a difference, has launched a Ramadan donation campaign dedicated to four causes, giving its customers the opportunity to contribute and help bring smiles to the faces of those in need across the country.

Each week of this month-long campaign will raise funds that will go towards one of the causes; cancer patients, diabetes patients, individuals with special needs, and medical equipment purchases, all with the aims to fulfil dreams and improve the quality of life of people with diseases or disabilities.

Starting from 6th May until the end of Ramadan, donations, which will be supervised by Royal Charity organization, can be made using cash or through VIVA Cash App by scanning QR codes found on the donation screens that are spread across the island in different mall such as Bahrain City Centre, Seef Mall – Seef District, Seef Mall – Muharraq, The Avenues and Al Enma Mall. Donations can also be made by sending an SMS with the desired amount to 98977, or by donating directly through VIVA Cash with over 2000 merchants or with retail screens at VIVA outlets.

Mr. Mohammed Al Khushail Acting CEO said: “We at VIVA Bahrain are always looking for ways to support our community, and this initiative is one that we are proud of launching. Ramadan is a time of giving and there is no greater cause than to show how an act of kindness can leave a positive mark. We truly believe that giving is not just about donation, it is about making a difference, and we urge everyone to join in and help us make a difference together as by the end of the campaign, we will match the donations made throughout the month”.

This Ramadan and following the success of previous years, VIVA Bahrain through its CSR arm, VIVA Jusoor, is renewing its commitment to the community and has kicked off Ramadan community-driven activities such as the wide-reaching ‘Ifar Sa’em’ community initiative, which distribute Iftar meals to the less fortunate across the kingdom. VIVA will also be distributing food baskets containing essential food items to various charities, families and individuals and over 100,000 bottles of water at mosques across the island during Taraweeh and Qeyam Al-Layl prayers. Moreover, its partnership with Conserving Bounties Society will continue during the holy month and will ensure delivering surplus food from large gathering events, hotels and restaurants to the families in need in various neighbourhoods across the island.
