VIVA Bahrain, the Kingdom’s leading telecommunications service provider, hosted an informative session under the theme of “Cyber threats= challenge” for its business customers. The session was focused on providing awareness on the anatomy of the modern cyber-attacks and the effective ways to counter these risks by breaking the threat cycle ensuring early detection and prevention – minimizing the risk of damage.
Industry leading consultant from Checksum, VIVA partner for cyber security services, discussed the topic in depth while VIVA Cyber Security team demonstrated how effectively VIVA Cyber Security Center, a 24x7 SOC operating in Bahrain, provides effective measures to safeguard its customers from the modern threats using the latest technologies and threat intelligence.
Taking place at VIVA’s own Innovation Center, located within VIVA’s headquarters in Seef district, the event covered presentations and live demonstration of modern technology to help preserve corporate data against potential cyber threats with industry leading solutions from McAfee and Fortinet, VIVA’s technology partners.
Following the sessions, VIVA customers were made aware of VIVA’s latest services in cyber security including Bahrain’s very first Cyber Security Academy, organised by VIVA and Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) providing the attendees with the option of continuing their training through the academy’s cyber security workshops that are aimed at uplifting the talent and development of the cyber security domain in Bahrain and to support the development of the Kingdom’s national economy and IT security.
