Vietnamese information and communication technologies firm CMC Telecom and US-based network service provider Akamai Technologies signed a co-operation agreement with BCNEX blockchain technology trading floor.
Under the agreement, CMC Telecom and content delivery network (CDN) and cloud services provider Akamai will provide BCNEX with CND-related services and solutions to prevent distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks.
“Many trading floors around the world had to close due to the pervasion of hackers, including cases of DDoS attacks,” BCNEX Co-Founder and CEO Ngo Hoang Quyen told Viet Nam News. “Maintaining an efficient and stable system is a minimum requirement for an e-commerce platform in general and a trading floor in particular.”
“We believe co-operation between BCNEX, Akamai and CMC Telecom will bring great experience to users. This co-operation will be a premise for the launch of many other digital content services in the future,” Quyen said.
Le Anh Vu, Director of the Value-Added Business Center of CMC Telecom, said CMC Telecom has partnered with Akamai since 2015. In order to help BCNEX provide their services to users by the beginning of May 2019, Akamai and CMC Telecom had to consult BCNEX for only three weeks before the signing ceremony.
“By choosing Akamai and CMC Telecom services, BCNEX can save costs, resources, infrastructure for system installation, research and security solutions,” Vu said. “Users of BCNEX will experience safe and fast services.”
After finishing a funding round in late March, BCNEX successfully secured US$1 million from undisclosed angel investors. In the next round, BCNEX will be calling for capital from international investors.
