Indonesian ISP LinkNet is aiming to expand its network footprint to 2.45 million homes passed by the end of 2019, up from the figure of 2.20 million reported for end-2018. In a disclosure to the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), LinkNet confirmed that last year it added 201,000 homes passed, and expects to bolster that with an additional 250,000 homes passed this year.
As at 31 December 2018 LinkNet, whose principal shareholders are Lippo Group via First Media and CVC Capital Partners Asia Pacific (through Asia Link Dewa), reported a total of 1.17 million revenue generating units (RGUs), including 575,000 cable TV and 595,000 broadband subscriptions; monthly ARPU in 2018 was reported at IDR422,000 (USD29.7). With the company targeting 1.186 million RGUs at end-March 2019 (including 583,000 cable TV and 603,000 broadband subscriptions), LinkNet confirmed that in FY2018 it generated revenue of IDR3.728 trillion, up 9.7% compared to IDR3.399 trillion in FY2017, with operating income of IDR1.123 trillion and net profit of IDR789 billion.
