Poland’s Play launches OTT platform

The Polish mobile operator Play has officially launched its OTT service Play Now TV.

In addition, the service is delivered through the TV Box, which employs the Android TV 8.0 system and gives access to such on demand services as Netflix, Tidal, Ipla, Player+ and YouTube (both paid and unpaid). It can also be used to receive DTT and cable TV services.

Play Now TV is being offered free of charge for the first three months, with a no-obligation period of 30 days. Following this, Play customers will be charged PLN20 (€4.7) a month and those who do not already receive any of the company’s services PLN35 a month.

The service also includes four of additional, paid-for channel packages, namely Extra, Sport, Kids and HBO GO.
