Twitter has announced the launch of its self-serve advertising platform in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region for small and medium businesses (SMBs) by providing a new payment method through credit cards.
The new platform aims to help SMBs target their audience on Twitter in Arabic without a minimum level of spending or investment, according to a statement.
SMBs and independent agencies in MENA have used the social platform's tools to achieve their objectives by launching brand awareness campaigns and driving direct response actions including website clicks, video views, and mobile application installs since the beta launch in December 2018.
In addition, SMBs can only pay for actions that accomplish their marketing objectives, guaranteeing to achieve the largest return on investment (ROI).
Advertising on Twitter by SMBs has seen a significant growth during the first quarter of 2019 since the beta launch which allowed SMBs to “connect, in Arabic, with Twitter’s most valuable asset; the most valuable audiences when they’re most receptive,” Twitter’s managing director for the MENA region, Benjamin Ampen, said.
In addition, the platform will provide Arabic self-help resources and materials online to SMBs and independent agencies in MENA.
“Twitter advertising allowed [Fahad Bin Sultan University (FBSU)] to get 52% more potential students to sign up,” FBSU’s webmaster and digital marketer, Mirvatt Ellawand, said.
