After bringing eSim technology to Brazil with the Claro Sync service for smartwatches, Claro has started to rollout the technology also in smartphones, reports Teletime. Called e-Chip, the feature allows users to activate a mobile line on compatible devices, dispensing with the physical Sim card.
eSim was developed in partnership with G&D. Claro also intends to enable the system for IoT applications in the future.
