In the presence of His Royal Highness Mohammed bin Khalid bin Abdullah Al Faisal AlSaud, Chairman of the Board of STC, His Excellency Abdullah Al Sawaha, Minster of Communications and Information Technology, His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz Al Ruwais, Governor of Communication and Information Technology Commission, and Eng. Nasser Al Nasser, STC Group CEO, the company inaugurated its participation in the MWC Barcelona, Spain, presenting its cutting-edge services and digital solutions.
This marks the company’s sixth consecutive participation in one of the ICT sector’s most notable international events, where the company proposed a platform designed for exchanging information on cyber threats and enhancing the protection mechanism of sensitive Saudi authorities. STC also suggested several data-based solutions to develop crowd-management methods and contribute to the development of Hajj experience in the future.
The exhibition also included VR technologies and a dashboard that could help NOC and SOC have a clearer vision of their operations and KPIs. In addition, STC presented some augmented reality techniques that aim at supporting field operations with a solution that relies on reaching locations in a timely manner, which would contribute to increasing the productivity of field operations remarkably and decreasing the time needed to complete them by 10 percent. As for the area of digital services, STC presented the (Digitization of Analog Meters), used (as in water, electricity and gas meters) on a wide scale in houses, shops and all sorts of industrial areas, in addition to the customer interaction lab that includes communication strategies between STC and its customers, especially the 900 text service, self-service machines and the company app.
Another service presented by the company was the “Automation of Robotic Operations” and how they interact in complex activities in several systems and departments within the company. The company anticipates automatizing 70% of its current operations by the end of 2019.
This is also the first time for STC to participate in #unveilsaudi platform that is mainly concerned with rediscovering the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in a new light and emphasizing national talents and folklore, where Saudi visual artists and painters presented astonishing examples of Al-Asiri pattern-drawing method called Al-Qatt Art.
STC shall sign a number of significant agreements to enable digital services with some of the world’s pre-eminent ICT companies. The conference is the largest gathering of ICT professionals, experts, technicians and major manufacturers of smartphones worldwide. STC will present its services and digital solutions to demonstrate its role as a leading digital provider.
The conference is organized by the GSMA, and is considered the largest mobile conference in the world. It is held from February to the first week of March every year in the Spanish city of Barcelona.
