The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has granted AT&T permission to utilise a variety of wireless frequencies for testing purposes at its laboratory in Austin, Texas.
As per regulatory documentation unearthed by Fierce Wireless, the telco is authorised to use spectrum in the following bands: 3400MHz-3600MHz, 3700Hz-4200MHz, 14.5GHz-15.35GHz, 27.5GHz-28.5GHz and 38.5GHz. The tests are permitted to run from 1 May 2019 to 1 May 2021 and are expected to focus on the development of 5G wireless solutions.
