Ecuadorian ISP PuntoNet has teamed up with IT solutions provider Speedcast to provide the Galapagos Islands with improved connectivity services. The latest collaboration between the two companies will see PuntoNet able to provide residents of the Galapagos Islands with internet connection speeds of up to 1.2Gbps. Lower latencies from the Medium Earth Orbit (MEO) satellite will be used to improve VoIP, VPN, streaming and data services across the islands.
