The Information Technology Authority (ITA), represented by Sas Centre for Virtual Reality, held on Monday a networking session at the Public Authority for Civil Aviation to showcase the potentials and applications of the immerging Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) technologies in business and industrial uses.
The session was attended by Eng Omar bin Salim al Shanfari, deputy CEO for Operation at ITA, and a number of representatives from government and private entities. The session aimed at presenting the benefits and different applications of virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) as well as sharing successful experiences of effective use for these technologies.
Occidental Oman, Military Technological College and Oman Medical Specialty Board/Medical Simulation Centre presented and discussed their experiences in using VR and AR technologies.
