Russian federal radio frequency commission SRFC has taken a decision regarding LTE networks in the 450 MHz frequency range, reports Cnews.ru. Mobile operator Tele2 Russia, the national operator Rostelecom and the television transmission company RTRS will deploy a 4G network for state needs in the 450 MHz band.
Frequency resources held by Tele2 Russia, alongside fibre-optic lines owned by Rostelecom, will be used for this purpose. RTRS will offer its premises for the deployment of LTE base stations. Testing LTE-450 networks will be done in the Tver, Pskov and Novgorod regions in 2019.
The network will get priority against the Tetra standard.
