Chilean cellco WOM has launched VoLTE and VoWiFi services for both and post-paid and pre-paid subscribers nationwide, news outlet Pisapapeles reports.
The operator is the smallest of the nation’s four mobile network operators by subscribers but is growing rapidly and is known for incorporating its challenger status into its marketing strategy – most recently capitalising on regulatory rulings against the incumbent trio regarding spectrum hoarding. According to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database, WOM claimed with a market share of around 13.7% at end-September 2018, up from 9.7% a year earlier.
