Vodafone Germany has unveiled its gigabit cable broadband service in Berlin, giving more than one million households in the capital access to maximum download speeds of 1Gbps.
Just three months after starting the upgrade programme, Vodafone is able to offer gigabit cable connections to six million homes in nine federal states, with this set to rise to eleven million by the end of 2019. Ultimately, the firm is aiming to upgrade its entire cable network – passing 12.7 million homes in 13 states – to enable top speeds of 1Gbps by the end of 2020.
