Ooredoo Maldives has expanded its ‘SuperNet’ fibre-optic broadband service to Maamigili, one of the largest islands of Alif Dhaal Atoll.
‘The impact of high-speed broadband services in enabling social and economic growth, especially in secluded areas, is unprecedented,’ commented Ooredoo’s Director of Sales and Brand Hussain Niyaz, adding: ‘Understanding its importance, one of our top priorities continues to be connecting local communities across the nation to affordable high-speed broadband internet services. We’re excited to expand our SuperNet Broadband Services to Maamigili, and enabling its people to truly enjoy the internet with Ooredoo.’ Local newspaper The Edition writes that the rollout was carried out in cooperation with infrastructure partner Linkworld, which has supported Ooredoo in expanding the network on the island.
