Swiss regulatory authority the Federal Communications Commission (ComCom) has published tender documents for its upcoming spectrum auction, due to take place in January 2019.
The sale comprises the following lots: six blocks of 2×5MHz in 700MHz band at 703MHz-733MHz/758MHz-788MHz, with a reserve price of CHF16.8 million (USD17.42 million) per block; three blocks of 1×5MHz in the 700MHz band at 738MHz-753MHz, priced at CHF4.2 million per block; 18 blocks of 1×5MHz of supplementary downlink (SDL) spectrum in the 1400MHz band at 1427MHz-1517MHz, priced at CHF4.2 million per block; one 2×5MHz block of 2600MHz frequencies that had been left unsold in the 2012 auction at 2565MHz-2570MHz/2685MHz-2690MHz, with a reserve price of CHF5.8 million; and 15 1×20MHz blocks covering 3500MHz-3800MHz, with each block priced at CHF1.68 million. The licences are technology neutral and have a duration of 15 years, expiring in December 2033. Interested parties have until 5 October to submit candidature documents.
