Zain Bahrain, a leading telecommunications provider in the Kingdom, announced its support of the Kingdom’s and the region’s first e-Basketball Tournament, which is organized by the Bahrain Basketball Association (BBA) under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, President of BBA.
Launched by the Bahrain Basketball Association in partnership with Zain Bahrain, the tournament is divided into two different categories, with the first being dedicated to professional basketball players registered under the BBA, and the second being open to the public participating from across the Kingdom and GCC countries.
The Bahrain Basketball Association has specified a set of terms and conditions for participating players, where Club affiliated players must be registered in the club’s records in either adult or young categories.
A total of $17,000 is set to be awarded at the tournament, with the first-place winners receiving $10,000, the second-place winners receiving $5,000, and $2,000 to the third-place winners.

We have worked relentlessly in supporting participating teams, both registered professionals under the Bahrain Basketball Association and enthusiastic athletes, to upscale the level of competition in preparation for an innovative first of its kind tournament that will please basketball and sports fans across the Kingdom and the GCC.”
“The e-Basketball Tournament is held in collaboration with NBA2K, and will be marked as a pioneering event in the world of sports in the region in line with his Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali’s vision, and his continuous efforts in cultivating a dedicated fanbase for the game amongst fans and the wider community in Bahrain and the region,” he added.
The Tournament will be held at Seef Mall, with the professional basketball players competition taking place on Thursday, September 27th, from 12 pm onwards; and the public’s tournament taking place on Friday and Saturday, 28 and 29 September, at the same time.
