Italian wholesale network operator Open Fiber has completed the rollout of its nationwide optical transport network, dubbed ‘ZION’.
The firm has deployed 6,300km of fibre to connect the access networks it is building in 7,000 cities and towns. Open Fiber says the total capacity of the network stands at 10Tbps, with 50 optical channels at 200Gbps.
