Turkmenistan satellite operator Turkmen Hemrasi has signed a cooperation agreement with Germany-based CETel, a provider of satellite, fibre and mobile communications solutions. The aim of this cooperation is to create a business environment for customers and their communication requirements for fixed satellite services in the region.
Turkmen Hemrasy‘s satellite TurkmenAlem is based at 52 degree East and covers not only the territory of Turkmenistan but also the rest of Central Asia, Iran, Turkey, North Africa and most part of Europe. It carries 38 Ku-Band transponders and is specifically designed for satellite communications and TV broadcasting.
With the cooperation signed, the two companies will bundle their competences so that customers can proceed with their projects, allowing the management of end-to-end connections, including backhaul, regulatory requirements, and local field support.
