Abu Dhabi Police saves US$353 million from digital services

Abu Dhabi Police has reportedly processed 4,462,784 digital transactions last year.

The entity’s digital services has enabled savings of up to $353 million (AED1.3 billion) and 9.5 million client visits.

The roll out of digital services is part of Abu Dhabi Police’s goal to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction through transformation into the smart government, under the government vision to harness advanced technology to improve security work.

Brigadier Nasser Al Dhaheri, Director of the Centre for Information and Communications, said the force has updated its package of smart applications on Google Play Store and App Store, as well as on the Internet, to ensure delivery of smart, innovative, high value-added services as part of its efforts to reach 100 percent digital transformation.

Last year, the Abu Dhabi Police launched its futuristic 2057 Plan to deliver a UAE capital city that will be powered by technology.

The comprehensive 2057 Plan features a number of ambitious initiatives, all of which will be implemented with the overarching aim of delivering a safer city and a more positive and happy community.

Smart traffic systems, outer space police patrols, smart police centres, robotic policing, genomic police, artificial intelligence and firefighting robots are among the key features of the futuristic plan.
