US cable giant Charter Communications (trading as Spectrum) has announced that its in-deployment DOCSIS 3.1 network now covers around 23 million US homes, following recent upgrades in Los Angeles, Dallas and Milwaukee, covering some 14 million households.
The Gigabit-capable network rollout started in earnest in 2017, covering eight markets by year-end. Going forward, the new platform will be extended across the cableco’s entire 41-state footprint by end-2018.
