Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT), enterprise solutions provider and the licensed national backbone network operator has joined hands with dataWerks GmbH, an innovative data virtualisation solutions provider that offers a radically new approach to delivering real time business insights to business organisations. The solution will be offered on ‘Akaza’ SLT’s cloud platform.
SLT’s cloud based Data Virtualisation and Analytics Service will enable real time big data analytics and Business Intelligence (BI) Solutions for enterprises in Sri Lanka.
“As customer data environments get more and more complex, and with increased competitive pressure, the need for real time big data analytics and Business Intelligence will assume new importance for any enterprise,” said M.I. Deen, GM-Enterprise Solution of SLT.
“Being the National ICT solutions provider, SLT is highly focused to offer the best data management solutions in a cloud environment to enterprise customers,” he said.
“What is truly ground breaking about this service from SLT, is that enterprises no longer have to invest large sums of money on hardware and infrastructure upfront and then wait several months until an IT project is completed. SLT enterprise customers can elect to securely virtualise their entire data set and have this ready to go within weeks,” said Tony Andris, CTO of dataWerks. Adding further that “SLT’s willingness and ability to innovate with new service offerings will greatly benefit enterprises in Sri Lanka. SLT will be the first to market with data virtualization solutions in the region. Any enterprise that is looking into Data Warehouse or Data Lakes projects to gain a holistic view across all their data sources should look no further and get in touch with SLT”.
SLT will also provide 24/7 support and service assurance to help maintain all customer networks. With this partnership, SLT business customers will be able to virtualize their entire data set, no matter the number or types of data source, and enable real time data access to business intelligence tools and other applications. This new ‘data mashup’ technology will allow users to quickly combine and correlate data from different systems whether held as structured or unstructured data.
