Through its Personal brand, Telecom Argentina is about to launch a short-format, web series platform targeting mobile video consumers.
Starting next month, the Personal Play Webseries will deliver access to 50 different shows, aiming for a 150-title catalogue by the end of the year. According to the company, all the web series will be short, with episodes spanning between six to 15 minutes.
The platform, which has been co-developed by Argentina Libero Media, will also offer series created by Argentinean producers and directors as part of competitions organised by the Instituto Nacional de Cine y Artes Audiovisuales (INCAA).
“By launching Personal Play Webseries we aim to deliver value- added services to our customers, capitalising on the increasing habit of watching series,” said Fernando Freytes, manager of innovation and convergent services, Telecom Argentina. “Our proposition aims to entertain our clients at any time. In addition, we intend to facilitate content distribution and monetisation for national producers.”
The mobile video service will be available for Personal’s 19 million customers, increasing the entertainment offer available on the Personal Play service.
