Czech mobile operator T-Mobile has announced the launch of a fixed broadband-replacement service ‘Fixed Internet into a Socket’, which uses its cellular 4G LTE network and a router (it recommends the Huawei B525) for internet access.
Costing CZK399 (USD19.5) per month under the company’s ‘Fixed Internet S’ unlimited tariff, the new service promises to deliver the user a peak download speed of up to 20Mbps and 5Mbps for uploads, without the need to pay for extra installation fees. Further, T-Mobile CR notes that the Huawei B525 modem allows up to 64 users/devices to connect to the internet, and can be purchased for CZK3,451 for a two-year commitment of CZK2,301 (including repayments: CZK1 + CZK23 x 100).
