Amaysim partners with fiber-to-the-home provider LBNCo to expand home broadband

Amaysim has partnered with Sydney fiber-to-the-home provider The Local Broadband Network Company (LBNCo) to expand its home internet plans to more communities

Through the partnership, Amaysim’s home internet plans are now available to local communities across Western Australia, Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia.

“Amaysim is excited to work with LBNCo to ensure more homes across Australia have access to best-in-class service and faster internet speeds,” Amaysim commercial director for broadband Rob Appel said.

“As always, Amaysim is delivering great value and no lock-in contracts, enabling customers to stay flexible without sacrificing on service.”

LBNCo is a builder and operator of Open Access networks and claims to be Australia’s first fibre-to-the-home operator.

The company was named in the 2016 Fast50, when it posted 33.67 percent growth to reach $14.8 million revenue that year.

Amaysim also announced that its standard speed plan will be replaced with the faster standard plus speed plan at $70 per month, with existing customers given the option to upgrade with no extra cost through to the end of June this year.

Appel said that the changes came after increased customer demand, and is backed by recent figures revealed by NBN Co, predicting that some 1.1 million users will move onto its 50mbps speed tier by June.

“We’re excited to add our new standard plus speed product to our home internet portfolio. Customer needs are changing and Amaysim is listening,” Appel said.

“More data-hungry content faster is the call out and these plans are designed to deliver. Great value coupled with a seamless user experience is how Amaysim simplifies your home.”
