Nepal Telecom (NTC) has recently released a notice to aware the people about the fake lottery being conducted on various social media outlets.
According to the notice, it has been found that there have been multiple reports of messages from national and International numbers saying that the receivers have won a lottery on messaging applications such as Viber, IMO, and WhatsApp. In order to receive their prizes, the users are urged to deposit a certain amount as remittance.
NT has requested the users to be aware of this type of fake lottery and to avoid being scammed.
