King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, represented by Badir Program for Technology Incubators, has concluded an agreement with Saudi Telecom Company (STC), represented by its Business Unit, for offering a group of Communications and IT solutions to start-ups incubated by “Badir” or newly established, with the aim to facilitate their business and reduce their operating costs.
Pursuant to this agreement, Saudi Telecom will offer competitive prices to Saudi entrepreneurs on a selection of main telecom services, most notably the Fixed line and Internet services "Jood" as well as prepaid QuickNet packages, Jawal and Jawal net packages and direct connection packages.
The agreement was signed by Al Sahhaf, chief executive Badir program for technology incubators and accelerators, and the Eng. Anef Ahmed A Abanomi, vice president of enterprise accounts at STC.
Al Sahhaf stated that the signing of the agreement is a continuation of the efforts made by Badir Program in order to activate strategic partnerships with the private sector and other competent authorities in developing an entrepreneurial environment in the Kingdom and providing the necessary support for technical projects in order for them to grow, develop and sustain.
Abanomi too confirmed that the agreement with Badir Program is included in the strategy of STC in supporting entrepreneurship, as the company is keen to dedicate more efforts in order to support and empower young Saudi entrepreneurs, as well as to participate in initiatives that contribute in reducing operating costs for startups.
