Sri Lanka is all set to launch 2 communication satellites for the very first time.
The Arthur C. Clarke Centre stated that one nano-satellite will be launched next year with the assistance of Japan.
The Centre further noted that the other satellite will be launched in 2020 with the assistance of Russia.
The Arthur C. Clarke Centre is of the opinion that Sri Lanka should make more use of technology for the development of the country’s agriculture, communication, irrigation and environment through these initiatives.
