Movistar Mexico, the country’s second largest mobile operator by subscribers, has staged a fixed-wireless broadband pilot project in Toluca.

If deemed successful, the pilot – which leverages the cellco’s existing mobile spectrum – could be launched commercially towards the end of the first quarter of 2018.
