Viya has announced the rollout of 4G LTE cellphone service for the majority of St. John.
In a statement, the company said it accelerated the introduction of the new service after the hurricanes, and about 80 percent of the island has coverage, with a new cell site is being added, according to the press release.
Viya also reopened its customer service center on St. John and it is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, according to the release.
The telecommunications provider also announced it is changing its cable TV lineup starting Feb. 15 and will include three tiers of service: basic; expanded and HD Flex.
Excluding taxes and fees, basic cable currently consists of 35+ channels for $14.99 per month, and expanded service features 200+ channels for $77.25. The new HD Flex package will consist of 71 channels for $59.99 per month.
Viya said it is rearranging its channel lineups by category.
