Brazilian operator Vivo has expanded its IPTV service, provided via fiber broadband, to 20 more cities. These include Rio de Janeiro, Pouso Alegre, Brasilia, Sao Jose do Rio Preto, Porto Alegre and Florianopolis. In addition, the operator has reduced the price of certain packages by 40 percent.
In the Ultimate HD package with 87 channels, for example, the customer will pay BRL 99.90, compared to BRL 144.90 previously, and also get an additional connection point free of charge. The Full HD package with 103 channels, of which 78 in HD, costs BRL 129.90 per month, instead of BRL 199.90. The promotional prices are valid for subscriptions made until 31 January, with a duration of one year.
