Amazon said over 4 million people trialed its Prime service over the Christmas holiday. In one week alone, more than 4 million customers started Prime free trials or began paid memberships, gaining access to free delivery on the e-commerce site and a range of other services such as Prime Video.
Amazon also reported its best holiday yet in terms of sales of its own devices. As usual, the company did not release exact sales figures, but said "tens of millions" of Alexa-enabled devices sold worldwide. The Echo Dot and Fire TV Stick with Alexa Voice Remote were the top-selling Amazon devices this holiday season, as well as the best-selling products from any manufacturer across all of Amazon.
