Beeline Kazakhstan, which launched 4G LTE services in July 2016, reports on its website that it has reached 47% population coverage with the 1800MHz/2100MHz 4G mobile network, under a plan to reach all regions of the country. VEON-backed Beeline says it deployed 200 LTE base stations in Shymkent (Kazakhstan’s third largest city) since introducing the high speed service there in October 2016, whilst adding that it has rolled out 27 LTEsites in Turkestan city/region, where 60 more sites are planned next year. In total Beeline – the country’s second-largest of three cellcos by subscribers – currently reaches 37 cities/towns with 4G LTE.
