Vodafone Turkey reported services revenues up 14.3 percent on an organic basis in its fiscal first half to September to EUR 1.121 billion, and adjusted EBITDA rose 20.4 percent to EUR 327 million. Vodafone said organic service revenue improved to 14.7 percent in Q2 from 13.9 percent in Q1, supported by good growth in consumer contracts and strong visitor revenue.
The company ended September with 23.160 million mobile customers, up by 330,000 from three months earlier. Contract customers increased by 337,000 in the quarter, helping take the contract share in the total customer base to 49.3 percent from 46.0 a year ago. Prepaid customer losses reduced to just 7,000 in Q2.
Mobile ARPU reached TRY 30.8 in the quarter, up from 29.3 in Q1 and 28.1 a year ago.Mobile data traffic increased 85.5 percent year-on-year to 177.781 TB.
Vodafone also added 30,000 customers in the fixed broadband market in Q2, for a total base of 623,000.
